U7's Tigers vs Queensbury Colts 24/01/10

After the long winters break, the Tigers were definately ready to roar back!

It took just 5 minutes for the Tigers to go one up, through a lovely side foot into the right hand corner by Mattie.

Ethan put the Queensbury defence under attack with long goal clearances and it wasn't long before Jacob made it 2-0 with Finley playing a searching ball from defence and Jacob finishing powerfully.

Nathan and Fin were strong at the back and Ben Bairstow helped them out with many strong interception tackles.

William Austin hand another good game on the left wing and was well supported by Benji and William Kelly.

Alex played really well with many passes through to the stikers and this would later allow him to pick up the Captains arm band for the next two weeks.

Half time came and went and the tigers knew that the game was far from over with the Colts playing downhill in the second half. Sam had another good game upfront and Mattie added to his tally yet again with a super strike to make it 3-0 with 10 minutes to go.

The final 10 minutes were hard fought, but the Tigers stayed strong and held on for a well deserved 3-0 victory. Well done for getting back into the groove so quickly after such a long break.
