U7's Shipley Panther's 0 Guisley Yellows 3

A heartening display from the Panthers today despite having no training or games for well over a month. Everyone battled hard and at times passed the ball well. The first half was only spoilt by a goal mouth scramble which Panther's failed to clear and ended up being 1 0 to Guisley. There was a notable performance from Thomas Knowles in goal whose huge kicks created problems for the Guisley defence but we were unfortunately unable to capitalise on. The second half was another close affair where the Panther's battled well but were unable to convert any of their chances. As the game neared the end and Panther's pushed forward a loose ball fell kindly for the Guisley striker whose long range shot couldn't have been hit better was good enough to beat the keeper making it 2 - 0 and the game beyond Panther's reach. As the final whistle loomed another shot found the back of the net for Guisley giving the scoreline a flattering look for Guisley. Well battled Panther's. Man of the Match Thomas Brown with some surging runs which caused Guisley problems all morning
